Google Calendar Adds Drag-to-Duplicate Shortcut After Suggestion
Google Calendar has a new feature that makes it easier to schedule meetings.
Now, you can copy events by simply clicking and dragging them to a new time on your calendar.
This change happened because someone from Stripe, John Collison, suggested it on social media, and the Google CEO, Sundar Pichai, agreed.
It means less clicking for users when they're organizing their schedules.
It saves time, making managing appointments faster.
Google Calendar now allows users to instantly duplicate events using a drag-and-drop shortcut.
The feature was implemented in response to a suggestion from Stripe co-founder John Collison on X.
Users can duplicate events by holding Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) and dragging the event to a new time slot.
The shortcut is available on the web version of Google Calendar in Day, Week, and Month views.
This update streamlines scheduling by removing the need to go through multiple menu steps.
