Accenture Expands Salary Hikes with New Payout Model
Accenture, a big IT services company, has changed how it gives salary raises.
Now, if you get a raise, half of it goes to your regular pay, and the other half is a one-time bonus.
This way, more employees get raises, and the company doesn't spend too much on salaries.
For example, if you get a 3% raise, 1.5% goes to your regular pay, and 1.5% is a one-time bonus.
People who get promoted still get their whole raise in regular pay.
The one-time bonus doesn't replace the yearly bonus given in December.
Both the raise and the bonus will be used to calculate next year's bonus.
If you're in special programs like VEIP or ESPP, the usual deductions will be taken from the one-time bonus.
Accenture has introduced a new salary hike structure splitting increases equally between base pay and a one-time lump-sum payment.
The change aims to reward more employees while managing payroll costs amid the current macroeconomic environment.
Talent and group leads determine the overall percentage increase, which is then split 50/50 between base pay and lump-sum.
Promotion-related hikes remain entirely in base pay, and the lump-sum does not replace the standard December bonuses.
Both components of the hike will be factored into the FY26 bonus calculation and are subject to standard deductions for VEIP/ESPP participants.
