NDA Secures Sweeping Victory in Bihar Assembly Elections
In Bihar, India, there was a big election for the people who make the state's laws.
One team, called the NDA, won by a lot, getting over three-fourths of the seats.
This means they will lead the state.
The main groups in the NDA are the BJP and the JD(U).
The BJP got the most seats.
Many people believe Prime Minister Modi's popularity and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's work helped them win.
Lots of women voted, and they seem to have helped the NDA win too.
Another team, the Mahagathbandhan, did not do very well.
They won many fewer seats than they did before.
Some people in the losing team think the election might not have been fair and said votes were stolen.
A candidate from a new party, Jan Suraaj, unfortunately passed away after falling ill during the campaign and also lost the election.
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won a sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, securing 201 out of 243 seats.
