DGCA Sets New Training Syllabus for Indian Gyroplane Pilots

India’s aviation regulator has created new training rules for people who want to fly gyroplanes.

The rules explain what students must learn on the ground and while flying.

A gyroplane has a rotor on top that spins freely to provide lift.

It also has a powered propeller that pushes it forward.

These aircraft may be used for joyrides and other tasks.

Possible tasks include spraying farms, towing banners, and conducting surveys.

The new rules are the first step toward using gyroplanes more widely in India.

More training schools and manufacturing facilities may be developed later.
