Commodities Decline on Easing Tensions

On January 16, 2026, the prices of gold, silver, and crude oil went down in the global markets and on the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) in India.

Gold and silver prices fell because the US dollar became stronger, and there were fewer worries about conflicts in Iran.

Crude oil prices also dropped because people thought there was less chance of a war between the US and Iran.

Additionally, there were more oil supplies than expected, which also pushed prices down.

In India, the amount of oil bought from Russia decreased, and more oil was bought from OPEC countries.

Experts think that the prices of these commodities will keep changing because of different things happening in the world.
