DEO Karnan Orders No Digitisation Without Voter Signature
A man named R.V. Karnan works for the election office in Hyderabad.
He told his team that they must not put any voter list into a computer unless the voter has signed the paper.
He met with 15 other officers to check how the big voter list update was going.
He also asked them to find polling places that have more than 1,100 voters so they can make them better.
Finally, he made sure every polling place has the things voters need, like chairs and water.
This helps make sure everyone can vote easily and safely.
Hyderabad district DEO R.V. Karnan instructed officials not to digitise enumeration forms lacking voter signatures.
He held a review meeting with 15 electoral registration officers to assess progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
Karnan emphasized ensuring no eligible voter is omitted during the revision process.
Officials were told to identify polling stations with over 1,100 electors for rationalisation.
They were also directed to verify that each polling station has all required basic voter amenities.
