EPFO 3.0 Trends on Google: UPI Withdrawals and Bank-Like Services
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is getting a big technology upgrade called EPFO 3.0.
This new system will make it easier for people to access their retirement savings.
With EPFO 3.0, people can withdraw money instantly using UPI, just like they do with a bank.
The system will also have features like faster claim settlements, multilingual support, and better customer service.
The government is working with big tech companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro to make this happen.
Over 8 crore active members and more than 30 crore total members will benefit from these changes.
The goal is to make EPFO services as easy and accessible as using a bank.
EPFO 3.0 is a modernised digital platform aimed at providing faster and smoother services to over 8 crore active members.
Key features include instant withdrawals via UPI, automated claim settlements, multilingual self-service, and bank-like access to EPF funds.
The system will be implemented in phases with a hybrid design combining Core Banking Solution and cloud-native modules.
EPFO members will be able to withdraw a permitted portion of their PF balance directly into their bank accounts using UPI.
Tech partners TCS, Infosys, and Wipro have been shortlisted for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of EPFO 3.0.
