Mizo Language Learning Centre in Lawngtlai
A new center to teach the Mizo language will be built in Kamalanagar, a town in Mizoram, India.
This is because knowing the Mizo language is important for getting government jobs in the state.
A local leader, Rasik Mohan Chakma, and other groups like the Chakma Autonomous District Council and the Mizoram Chakma Students’ Union are working together to make this happen.
The center will help people prepare for a test that checks how well they know the Mizo language.
The leader will use some of his special funds to build the center, and the students' union will run it while the council will provide help.
A Mizo language learning centre will be established in Kamalanagar, Lawngtlai district, Mizoram.
The decision was made in a meeting with District School Education Board officials, headmasters, and Mizoram Chakma Students’ Union representatives.
MLA Rasik Mohan Chakma will fund the centre using his MLA quota to help aspirants prepare for the Mizo language proficiency test.
The MCSU will manage the centre, while the CADC education department will provide logistical support.
