Sanjana Exits Commonwealth Games Early
Sanjana, an Indian weightlifter, had to leave the Commonwealth Games early because she couldn't lift the required weight in her first three tries.
She was expected to do well, but unfortunately, she couldn't complete her snatch attempts.
This is the second time in a row that India has had a weightlifter leave the Games early without finishing.
Sanjana was one of the top contenders, but she couldn't show her strength in the clean and jerk part because she didn't succeed in the snatch.
Another Indian weightlifter, Nirupama Devi, also had a similar early exit in a different weight category.
Sanjana failed all three snatch attempts in the Commonwealth Games women's 77kg competition.
She couldn't clear her opening weight of 94kg, leading to an early exit.
This marks India's second consecutive 'Did Not Finish' (DNF) in weightlifting at the Games.
Sanjana was a pre-Games medal contender with high expectations.
She did not get the opportunity to compete in her stronger clean and jerk discipline.
