Dhanbad's Eight-Lane Road Collapses Again Due to Leak
A part of a new, expensive road in Dhanbad keeps falling apart.
This road opened recently and has had issues before.
The problem is leaking water pipes under the road.
The leaking water makes the ground weak, and the road sinks.
The road is maintained by a private firm.
Officials from SHAJ and PHED are working to find and fix the leaks to stop the road from collapsing.
A portion of the eight-lane road in Dhanbad caved in again.
The road was built at a cost of Rs 461.9 crore.
The road was inaugurated in October 2024.
The collapse is due to water leakage from an underground pipeline.
Repair work is being done by a private construction firm.
