DGP Says Training Is Foundation Of Effective Police Leadership
DGP C.V. Anand spoke to new police officers about how to become good leaders.
He said physical training helps officers stay disciplined and ready for their work.
He also said officers need to understand laws, investigate crimes and use technology.
Treating people humanely and communicating clearly are important too.
Anand reminded them that their main job is to keep people safe and help provide justice.
The trainees are taking a course that lasts about 10 months.
The course includes classroom lessons, outdoor training and leadership practice.
Anand also gave medals and prizes to police personnel who won sports competitions.

He urged 112 probationary DSPs to develop leadership, ethics, investigation, communication and technology skills.
The Telangana Police Academy’s roughly 10-month course combines legal, investigative, physical and leadership training.
The curriculum covers the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, criminology, crime investigation, model policing and financial crimes.
Anand presented prizes after more than 700 personnel competed in the 5th Telangana Police Sports and Games Meet.
