Ayurveda Conference Marks 40 Years in Brazil, Eyes Future Growth
Imagine a special doctor system from India called Ayurveda that has been in Brazil for 40 years!
To celebrate, people from all over South America and India got together for a big meeting.
They talked about how Ayurveda can be for everyone, no matter who they are.
They also shared ancient wisdom and discussed how to make sure Ayurveda is practiced safely and well in Brazil.
They even talked about plans for the next 40 years!
Brazil was the first country in South America to officially welcome this Indian way of healing.
It shows how India and Brazil are good friends, especially when it comes to health.
The 3rd International Ayurveda Conference celebrated 40 years of Ayurveda in Brazil from November 14-15, 2025.
Organized by SVCC and Conayur in São Paulo, the conference focused on ancestral knowledge, diversity, inclusion, and professional regulation of Ayurveda.
Discussions included creating a roadmap for Ayurveda's future in Brazil and Latin America.
India's Ambassador to Brazil inaugurated the event, highlighting Brazil's status as the first South American country to recognize Ayurveda.
The Ministry of Ayush emphasized the strong India-Brazil partnership in traditional medicine, reinforced by MOUs and institutional collaborations.
