Kharghar Rotary Trust Workshop Promotes Eco-Friendly Ganeshotsav Among Children
A group in Kharghar held a workshop before Ganeshotsav.
Children learned how to make Ganesha idols using natural shadu clay.
Trained instructors helped them during the activity.
The children also learned why eco-friendly celebrations are better for nature.
The organisers explained that plaster of Paris idols can harm water bodies and the environment.
Rotary members and a social organisation leader attended the programme.
The workshop helped children use their creativity and learn about caring for the environment.
The organisers hope children will encourage sustainable celebrations in the future.
The Rotary Kharghar Charitable Trust held a Ganesha idol-making workshop on September 5 at Regency Crest Society in Sector 19, Kharghar.
Children made Ganesha idols by hand using shadu clay under the guidance of trained instructors.
Organisers explained the environmental benefits of clay idols and the harmful impact of plaster of Paris idols on water bodies and the environment.
