Uber Adds Train Booking and Station Rides in India
Uber is adding train-ticket booking to its app in India.
People can search for trains and buy tickets without opening another app.
They can also check their PNR status inside Uber.
The train service is provided through a partnership with ixigo.
Before the train, passengers can book an Uber ride to the station.
After arriving, they can book another ride to their final destination.
This lets people plan more parts of a trip in one place.
Uber already offers several other transport services, including buses, cars, autos and metro options.
Uber users in India can search and book train tickets through the app.
The service is powered by travel platform ixigo and includes PNR status checks.
Passengers can book Uber rides to a railway station and onward to their destination.
The feature is available through the app’s “Bus & Train” or Services sections.
Uber says the service supports its broader effort to combine road, rail and public transport options.
