Tamil Nadu Launches Space Tech Fund
The Tamil Nadu government has created a special fund called the Tamil Nadu Space Tech Fund (TNSTF) to help space-tech startups.
This fund will give money to startups that show they can get matching funds from other investors.
The government has set aside ₹10 crore for this fund.
Startups that want to apply must be registered in Tamil Nadu and recognized by the Indian government.
The fund will help startups working on things like satellites, rockets, and space data.
A group of experts will decide which startups get the money, and the money will be given in parts as the startups meet certain goals.
StartupTN is inviting applications for the Tamil Nadu Space Tech Fund (TNSTF) to support high-potential space-tech startups.
The fund operates on a 1:1 matching model with a cap of ₹50 lakh, requiring startups to demonstrate confirmed external funding.
The Government of Tamil Nadu has allocated ₹10 crore for FY 2025–26 towards the implementation of the TNSTF.
Eligible startups must be registered in Tamil Nadu and recognized by the DPIIT of the Government of India.
Funding will be provided in the form of equity, disbursed in tranches based on milestones and compliance with scheme guidelines.
