Raj Thackeray Returns to Shiv Sena After 20 Years
Raj Thackeray, a politician who left the Shiv Sena party 20 years ago, went back to the party's headquarters on a Sunday.
This was a big moment because he and his cousin Uddhav Thackeray, who is now the leader of Shiv Sena, made up their differences.
They even released a joint plan for what they want to do together.
Raj used to be very popular and had his own party called MNS, but over time, he had some problems and his party didn't do as well.
Now, he's back with Uddhav, and they are working together again.
They have some plans to help people, like giving money to workers and not charging tax on small houses.
They also want to set up kitchens where people can get cheap food.
Raj Thackeray returned to Shiv Sena Bhavan after 20 years, marking a reconciliation with Uddhav Thackeray.
A joint manifesto was released by Raj and Uddhav Thackeray, outlining their political alliance for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections.
Raj Thackeray left Shiv Sena in 2005 and formed the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
The alliance includes proposals to support domestic workers with Rs 1,500 per month and exempt property tax for houses up to 700 square feet.
The manifesto also proposes setting up 'Maa Saheb' kitchens to provide subsidized breakfast and lunch at Rs 10.
