India Posts Asia Pacific’s Largest Receivables Improvement, Aon Reports

Aon studied how quickly companies collect money from customers.

This time is called days receivable.

Indian companies collected their money eight days faster than the year before.

Their average collection time was 56 days.

Across Asia Pacific, the average was 79 days.

Faster collections can give companies more cash to use for daily operations or growth.

India’s engineering and construction industry improved the most, reducing its collection time by 28 days.

Other Indian industries, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals and information technology, also improved.

Aon said benchmarking these results can help financial managers find money tied up in unpaid bills.
