Khar Police Book Man Over Alleged Aid To Five Bangladeshis

Police in Mumbai detained six people near Bandra.

They said five of them were Bangladeshi nationals without the documents needed to stay in India.

Police allege that Iqbal Akbarali Shaikh helped the five enter and remain in the country.

They also allege he helped them find rooms and jobs.

The group was questioned at Khar police station.

Police said some of the people had previously been sent back to Bangladesh.

The five suspected nationals are being processed for removal from India.

The case against Iqbal is still under investigation, and the allegations have not been established in court.
