Manas National Park Reopens for Assam’s New Tourism Season

Manas National Park in Assam has opened its gates to visitors for a new tourism season.

People can explore the park on safari and look for animals living there.

Some are very rare and hard to see, such as the pygmy hog and golden langur.

The park is also home to wild water buffalo and one-horned rhinoceroses.

Visitors might also see tigers, leopards or clouded leopards.

Manas has grasslands, forests and areas along rivers.

More people visited in 2025–26 than in 2021–22.

Other wildlife destinations in Assam are reopening around the same time.
