BCL Industries Reports Q2 FY26 Results: Revenue Down 4% YoY, Net Profit Flat
BCL Industries, a large Indian company that processes farm products like edible oils and runs distilleries, released its financial results for the three months ending in September.
Their overall sales were a bit lower than last year, down by 4% to about 720 crore rupees.
However, the money they made from their main business operations before paying for everything else went up, and their profit margin improved.
Their net profit, which is the money left after all expenses, stayed about the same as last year, around 32 crore rupees.
While their business making edible oils saw less sales, their alcohol-making (distillery) business did better.
The company also has a real estate division, which had minimal sales.
Despite these operational results, the company's stock price has gone down a lot over the past year.
BCL Industries reported Q2 FY26 revenue of ₹720 crore, a 4% decrease year-on-year and a 12.4% decrease from the previous quarter.
Net profit for Q2 FY26 stood at ₹32 crore, remaining flat compared to the year-ago period, while operating profit increased to ₹67 crore.
Operating margins improved to 10% in Q2 FY26, up from 8% in the year-ago period and 7% in the previous quarter.
The distillery segment was a key revenue driver with ₹348.03 crore, showing growth, while the maize oil extraction and refinery segment revenue declined significantly.
The company's shares have experienced a substantial decline, losing approximately 54% of their value since February 2024.
