Pakistan targets $6-8 billion in mineral exports with China's help
Pakistan wants to make a lot more money from its minerals.
Right now, they mostly just dig them up and sell them raw.
But their planning minister, Ahsan Iqbal, says they want to start making things with those minerals, like in factories, so they can sell more expensive, finished products.
He thinks this could make Pakistan between $6 and $8 billion every year.
To do this, Pakistan is working closely with China, their good friend and partner.
They want to build special places where they can process minerals and make other things.
This will help create jobs and make Pakistan's economy stronger.
The minister also said that keeping Chinese people and their investments safe is very important.
Pakistan aims to increase mineral exports to USD 6-8 billion annually through value addition.
The focus is on developing mineral processing plants, smelters, and refining facilities.
China is a central partner in this initiative, with a focus on technology and long-term partnerships.
The second phase of CPEC will help modernize Pakistan's agriculture, industries, and technological capacity.
Security and safety of Chinese nationals and investments remain a top priority.
