UP Announces 25% RTE Quota Admissions
The Uttar Pradesh government has announced that 25% of seats in private schools will be reserved for children from poor families.
This is part of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, which wants to make sure all children can go to good schools.
The government will pay the schools for these children, and parents won't have to pay any fees.
To apply, parents need to fill out forms online and provide some important documents like birth certificates and income proofs.
The schools will pick the children through a fair lottery system.
This is a big step to help children from poor families get a better education and a brighter future.
25% seats in private schools reserved for economically weaker children under the RTE Act, 2009.
Admission process for academic year 2026-27 to be conducted online in three phases: February 2-16, February 21-March 7, and March 12-25.
Eligible children for Nursery (3-4 years), LKG (4-5 years), UKG (5-6 years), and Class 1 (6-7 years).
Required documents include Aadhaar card of parent, child's birth certificate, income certificate, residence certificate, caste certificate, ration card, and pension or disability certificates.
No fees will be charged from children admitted under this scheme; the state government will reimburse private schools.
