Chennai Schools to Offer Western Australian WACE Curriculum
Some schools in Chennai, India, will start teaching a special curriculum from Western Australia called WACE.
This program is like a certificate that helps students go to college, not just in Australia, but in places like the UK, US, and Canada too.
It's also recognized in India.
The WACE way of learning focuses on students thinking for themselves and learning by doing, instead of just memorizing lessons.
This is to help students be ready for jobs in the future.
Agreements were signed at an education meeting in Chennai, with the Tamil Nadu Education Minister present.
This curriculum is already taught in many countries around the world.
Chennai schools will offer the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) curriculum starting from the 2026-27 academic year.
