Heavy Snow Halts Trekking in Nepal's Mustang

Heavy Snow Halts Trekking in Nepal's Mustang

In Nepal, there's a place called Mustang where people love to go trekking.

But right now, it's too dangerous because of heavy snow.

The government has closed five trekking routes that go through very high mountains.

These routes are usually popular, but the snow has made them too risky.

Some of these routes are as high as 6,000 meters above sea level.

The snow is so deep in some places that it's up to four feet high.

The government is warning people not to go trekking there right now because if someone gets stuck, it would be very hard to rescue them.

They're also asking people to check the weather before they plan any trips.

One of the main places people visit in Mustang is a temple called Muktinath.

The snow is making it hard for people to visit there right now.
