Court Rejects Bail Cancellation Plea Against Four Elgar Accused

Court Rejects Bail Cancellation Plea Against Four Elgar Accused

A court allowed four people accused in the Elgar Parishad case to keep their bail.

The National Investigation Agency said they broke bail rules by attending a gathering at the Mumbai Press Club.

The agency believed the gathering could have involved support for a banned group.

The judge said the video showed the people were there but did not record sound.

The video also did not clearly show that they were discussing the banned group’s ideas.

The defence said the gathering was a general discussion and that the four had been invited by someone else.

The court said simply meeting or talking with other accused people was not enough to prove a bail violation.

However, the judge told them to be more careful and leave similar events in the future.
