Chhattisgarh High Court Denies Job on Compassionate Grounds

Chhattisgarh High Court Denies Job on Compassionate Grounds

A woman in Chhattisgarh applied for her late mother's government job many years after her mother passed away.

Her mother, who was a teacher, died when the woman was a child.

The woman grew up with her grandmother and later applied for the job when she became an adult.

The government said no because they believe these jobs are only for people who need help right away after losing their family's main earner.

The court agreed and said the job is not meant for people who apply many years later.

The court also said that the rules at the time of her mother's death allowed children to apply when they grew up, but the government had changed the rules later.

The woman's lawyers argued that the old rules should apply, but the court focused more on the purpose of the job being for immediate help.
