Sainik School Korukonda Celebrates Raising Day and Army Day
Sainik School Korukonda had a special day to celebrate two important events: the day the school was started and Army Day.
Everyone at the school, including the students and teachers, took part in the celebrations.
They started by putting flowers on a statue of a person who helped start the school.
Then, they had a meeting where students and teachers gave speeches.
They talked about how brave and strong the Indian Army is and how the school began many years ago.
The school started with a small number of students and teachers, and it has grown a lot since then.
It's a place where students learn and train to be strong and disciplined.
Sainik School Korukonda celebrated its School Raising Day and Army Day on Wednesday.
The event included garlanding the statue of Dr PVG Raju, who donated the land for the school.
A special assembly was held with speeches by cadets and teachers highlighting the Indian Army's valour and the school's origins.
The school was formally established on 18th January 1962 with 205 cadets and 11 academic staff members.
Speeches reflected on the school's humble beginnings and its journey of imparting quality education and physical training.
