Indore Onion Prices Rise Despite Lower Wholesale Rates

Indore Onion Prices Rise Despite Lower Wholesale Rates

Onions have become more expensive in some parts of Indore.

People are paying between Rs 30 and Rs 70 for one kilogram.

The highest prices are being reported in areas such as Saket and Mahalaxmi Nagar.

However, onions remain much cheaper at the wholesale market.

Officials say there is no major shortage right now.

They say seasonal changes during the monsoon can cause prices to move.

Traders believe continuing rain could make transport and supply harder.

This could push retail prices higher if the weather stays unfavorable.
