Sindhu Withdraws from Badminton Asia Team Championship
P V Sindhu, a famous badminton player, has to miss an important tournament called the Badminton Asia Team Championships.
She had to pull out because of a small injury.
This is bad news for India's team because Sindhu is a very strong player.
Without her, the team might have a harder time winning medals.
The tournament starts on February 3 in Qingdao.
Other players like Tanvi Sharma and Gayatri Gopichand will now have to play more important roles in the team.
India won gold in this tournament last year, so everyone was hoping for another good performance.
P V Sindhu has withdrawn from the Badminton Asia Team Championships due to a slight niggle.
Sindhu's absence significantly reduces India's medal prospects in the tournament.
The tournament begins on February 3 in Qingdao, with India placed in Group Y against Thailand and Myanmar.
India won gold in the women's team competition at the 2024 edition in Malaysia.
Other Indian players like Tanvi Sharma, Unnati Hooda, and Gayatri Gopichand will now take on more responsibility in Sindhu's absence.
