PU Develops AI to Reconstruct Faces; Memorial Lecture Scheduled
Scientists at Panjab University have created special computer programs using Artificial Intelligence to rebuild faces.
These programs can look at a person's teeth and jaw to figure out what their face looked like, even if it's damaged.
This helps identify people after disasters like plane crashes or bombings.
The university has received a copyright for their program, which is a big step in using technology to solve tough problems.
Also, Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi will give a talk at PU about why a strong India might worry other countries.
Panjab University (PU) scientists developed AI models for facial reconstruction using teeth and jaw dimensions.
The AI models can recreate faces with up to 95% accuracy, aiding in victim identification.
The innovation is expected to strengthen forensic investigation and disaster victim identification.
The university received a copyright for the computer program from the Government of India.
Rajya Sabha member Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi will deliver the Balramji Dass Tandon Memorial Lecture at PU.
