India Inc Steps Up Private Capex as Cash Reserves Rise

India Inc Steps Up Private Capex as Cash Reserves Rise

Indian companies have been saving money for several years.

Now, they are beginning to spend more of it on growing their businesses.

This spending is called capital expenditure, or capex.

Companies have spent nearly ₹8 lakh crore on such projects.

Higher profits have helped them build larger cash reserves.

Their regular business activities are also generating substantial cash.

This makes it easier for them to invest.

Operating cash flow is expected to reach ₹11 lakh crore in FY26.
