US Clears Way for $2.7 Billion Ukraine Air-Defense Upgrades

The United States has approved a possible military sale to Ukraine.

The sale could be worth $2.7 billion.

It would help Ukraine develop and improve its air defenses.

The package could include missiles, launchers and radar systems for detecting drones.

Ukraine would use money from European countries and US military financing to pay for it.

Some of that US money was approved during Joe Biden’s presidency.

Congress still has to review the proposed sale.

The announcement comes while the war between Russia and Ukraine continues.
