Study: Over 50% of Women in Blue-Grey Jobs Plan to Quit within a Year
A study found that many women in India's 'blue-grey collar' jobs, which are like a mix of factory and office work, are planning to quit soon.
More than half of those with less than a year of experience want to leave within a year.
A big reason is that they aren't happy with their pay, and most don't save much money.
The study also shows that things like safe travel, safe workplaces, chances to move up in their jobs, and flexible hours are important for keeping women in these jobs.
The goal is to help these women stay in their jobs and help India grow.
Over 52% of entry-level women in India's blue-grey collar jobs plan to quit within a year.
54% of women are unhappy with their pay.
80% of working women save less than ₹2,000 per month.
Key challenges include mobility, workplace safety, career growth, and work flexibility.
The attrition rate drops significantly for women with over two years of experience, to 3%.
