Mysterious Aircraft Near Kansas Airbase Sparks B-21 Raider Speculation
Someone near an Air Force base in Kansas took a video of a big, gray airplane flying in the sky.
Nobody in charge will say what the airplane was, so people are guessing.
Some people think it might be a brand-new secret bomber called the B-21 Raider.
Others think it could be an older bomber called the B-2 Spirit.
A few people even think it might be a spy drone that the government says doesn't exist.
People are excited because the airplane looked a lot like a stealth bomber, which is a plane designed to hide from radar.
The B-21 Raider is a very special and expensive plane that costs about 692 million dollars each.
It was shown to the public for the first time in 2022.
The Air Force says it will start using the B-21 sometime in the next ten years.
For now, the mystery airplane stays a mystery because no one has confirmed what it really was.
A mysterious gray military aircraft was filmed Tuesday near McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas.
Officials have not identified the aircraft, and there is no confirmation it was a B-21 Raider.
Social media speculation suggests it could be the B-21 Raider, B-2 Spirit, RQ-170 Sentinel, or the unacknowledged RQ-180 drone.
The B-21 Raider is a nuclear-capable, long-range stealth bomber developed by Northrop Grumman with an average cost of about $692 million per aircraft.
The B-21 was publicly unveiled in 2022 and the Air Force expects it to enter service within the next decade, planning to acquire at least 100 aircraft.
