IISER Pune Works Toward Demands Amid Seventh-Day Protest

Students at IISER Pune have been protesting for seven days.

They are sitting in a corridor outside the dean’s office.

The protest started after a student died on campus.

It also followed the academic suspension of the student council’s general secretary.

The students have submitted several demands.

On September 1, the institute said it was working on ways to meet most of them.

The institute also said it must think about the safety of all students.

It said it must consider students who did not join the protest and the limits of its authority.
