Tata Sons' Chandrasekaran Not Seeking Chairman Reappointment After 2027

The leader of a very big Indian company group, the Tata Group, told his workers he will stop being the chairman in February 2027.

His name is N Chandrasekaran.

He has worked for the Tata Group for 40 years and is 63 years old.

He said every career comes to an end and another person will take over.

He asked his employees not to listen to gossip or conspiracy theories about why he is leaving.

He said the Tata name is respected because of the efforts of the workers.

He asked the board to choose the next chairman soon so the change is smooth.

Some board members did not all agree to give him another five years, which caused months of disagreement.

He left the meeting to loud applause from the employees.
