Netanyahu Defends Leadership Amid Gaza War
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, gave a speech in the Israeli parliament to defend his leadership.
He said that Israel is stronger than ever, even though there is a war going on in Gaza.
He talked about how many world leaders, like the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and the President of the United States, want to be friends with Israel.
He also mentioned that he has good relationships with these leaders and that they meet often.
Netanyahu said that Israel is facing some challenges, like antisemitism, but he is working to fight it.
He also talked about how Israel has strong ties with other countries, not just big ones like the US and India, but also in the Middle East, Far East, Latin America, and Africa.
The opposition, however, wants him to resign, saying he hasn't handled the war well and hasn't taken responsibility for the Hamas attack.
Netanyahu defended his leadership and Israel's global standing during a Knesset debate, asserting that Israel is stronger than ever despite the Gaza war.
He highlighted his strong ties with world leaders, including PM Modi, German Chancellor Merz, US President Trump, and Russian President Putin.
Netanyahu claimed that many countries and leaders seek out Israel for ties, despite challenges like antisemitism.
He announced an unprecedented allocation of NIS 2.35 billion to combat antisemitic propaganda and incitement.
The opposition demands Netanyahu's resignation, criticizing his handling of the war and failure to establish an independent state commission of inquiry.
