Delhi Court Quashes Gag Order in Adani Defamation Case
A Delhi court has overturned a gag order that stopped journalists from reporting on Adani Enterprises.
The judge said the original order was not fair because the journalists were not given a chance to respond.
The court sent the case back to be reviewed fairly.
This decision involved journalists such as Ravi Nair, Abir Dasgupta, Ayaskant Das and Ayush Joshi, who were represented by advocates Vrinda Grover and Nakul Gandhi.
The court asked why the initial order was issued so quickly.
The ruling means the journalists can continue writing about the company, but the case continues for another journalist.
Delhi court quashed a gag order against journalists.
The order had restricted reporting on Adani Enterprises.
The court cited that the gag order was issued without a hearing.
The case was sent back to be reconsidered.
