Udupi Police to Install Hundreds of CCTV Cameras
The Udupi police are putting up many new security cameras all over the district.
These cameras will be placed at important spots like busy roads and areas where there could be more crime.
They're also adding cameras that can read license plates.
This project, costing around 2.5 crores, aims to make the area safer.
In addition, the police are also expanding their night patrols, with guards watching over towns and other vulnerable places.
This will hopefully help to prevent crime and make the community safer for everyone.
Udupi police will install 601 CCTV cameras at 207 junctions.
The project costs an estimated Rs 2.5 crore.
Cameras will cover key border areas and high-traffic zones.
Automatic Number Plate Reader (ANPR) cameras will be installed at various locations.
The 'Drishti' night patrolling program will expand to 21 more locations.
