Adani Group Plans $15 Billion Airport Expansion
The Adani Group is planning to spend $15 billion to make its airports bigger and better.
They want to handle 200 million passengers every year in the next five years.
This is because more and more people are traveling by air in India.
The group will add new terminals, taxiways, and even a new runway at the Navi Mumbai airport, which is set to open on December 25.
They will also upgrade other airports like Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Guwahati.
Most of the money will come from loans, and the rest from the company's own funds.
The Indian government is also helping by privatising more airports and making the infrastructure better.
India is even planning to build more airports to meet the growing demand.
Additionally, Adani has acquired FSTC, a major flight training and simulation provider, to boost its aviation services.
Adani Group plans to invest $15 billion to increase airport passenger capacity to 200 million annually within five years.
Expansion includes upgrades at Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Lucknow, and Guwahati airports.
New runway at Navi Mumbai airport is scheduled to open on December 25.
70% of the funding will come from debt, with the remaining 30% from equity.
The expansion aligns with India's broader strategy to privatise and modernise airport infrastructure.
