Gujarat Plans Women-Run Amul Parlours Across 18,000 Villages

Gujarat plans to open Amul milk shops run by women in 18,000 villages.

The plan is being developed by the Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company and Amul.

It is meant to help women in self-help groups earn money through dairy businesses.

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Rajkot.

At the event, groups received financial assistance, including Rs 40 lakh for dairy-related groups.

Other partnerships are intended to help women sell their products and learn digital business skills.

Patel said more than 8.5 lakh women in Gujarat had become Lakhpati Didis.

The new shops would give women another way to sell products and earn income.
