Eknath Shinde Slams Opposition Over Parliament Deadlock, Meets PM Modi
In India, there is a big meeting place called Parliament where leaders talk about important things.
Recently, Parliament was stuck because some leaders were not taking part in the talks.
A leader named Eknath Shinde helps run the state of Maharashtra.
He said the other leaders should come back and talk instead of shouting and protesting.
Some students had held a protest, and the other leaders wanted a minister named Amit Shah to quit his job.
Eknath Shinde said that demand was just about politics and had nothing to do with the students.
He also met the country's leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to talk about building roads and helping Maharashtra grow.
There is also a disagreement about which group can use the name Shiv Sena, and the courts are deciding it.
Eknath Shinde said everyone should respect the court's decision and work together.
Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde criticised the Congress and other opposition parties for stalling Parliament instead of joining debate.
Shinde asserted the government is prepared to discuss every issue and called the demand for Amit Shah's resignation 'purely political.'
He addressed the media after a nearly hour-long meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Maharashtra's development priorities.
Shinde accused Congress of politicising the student agitation at Jantar Mantar, which he said had concluded.
On the Shiv Sena dispute, Shinde said the UBT faction must decide if it has faith in the judicial process.
