GVMC Officials Instructed on Waste Management
A big boss in Visakhapatnam named DV Ramanamurthy told the people who clean the city to make sure they collect trash from every house every day using special trucks.
He checked if the workers had the right tools and clothes and asked about how many houses they visit.
He also said that during holidays, the trash bins get too full, so people should not throw trash everywhere.
Later, he visited a place where people get free food and checked if the food was good and the place was clean.
Everyone was happy with the food, and he told the workers to keep the place clean all the time.
GVMC Additional Commissioner DV Ramanamurthy inspected sanitation management in Visakhapatnam's north zone and Anna Canteen near KGH.
He instructed officials to ensure daily door-to-door waste collection through CLAP vehicles and maintain clean roads and drains.
Ramanamurthy checked if sanitation workers had necessary tools and uniforms and questioned CLAP vehicle drivers about their daily trips and household coverage.
Officials were directed to adhere to fixed schedules for waste collection and create public awareness to prevent overflowing dumper bins during holidays.
The Additional Commissioner inspected the Anna Canteen, interacted with beneficiaries, and ensured proper sanitation and food quality monitoring.
