NASA Astronaut Jonny Kim Returns to Earth
NASA astronaut Jonny Kim and two Roscosmos cosmonauts, Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritsky, came back to Earth after spending eight months in space.
They lived and worked on the International Space Station (ISS), doing important science experiments.
They traveled around the Earth 3,920 times and went almost 104 million miles.
Jonny Kim and Alexey Zubritsky were on their first space trip, while Sergey Ryzhikov had been to space before.
They studied things like how to make tissues in space and how to control robots from far away.
After landing safely in Kazakhstan, they will go back to their home countries for more check-ups.
The ISS has been helping scientists learn new things that can't be done on Earth, and it's also preparing for future trips to the Moon and Mars.
NASA astronaut Jonny Kim and Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritsky returned to Earth after an eight-month mission on the International Space Station.
They landed safely at 10:03am local time southeast of Dzhezkazgan, Kazakhstan, aboard the Soyuz MS-27 spacecraft.
During their 245-day mission, they orbited Earth 3,920 times and traveled nearly 104 million miles.
Kim and Zubritsky completed their first spaceflight, while Ryzhikov logged a total of 603 days in space across three missions.
The crew conducted various scientific investigations, including studying bioprinted tissues, remote robot control, and DNA-mimicking nanomaterials for medical advancements.
