IIT Bombay Launches STEM Scholarship for Women
IIT Bombay is starting a new scholarship called WINGS to help women who want to study science, technology, engineering, and math.
This scholarship will pay for their tuition, which is made possible by IIT Bombay, an IIT Bombay alumnus, and his wife.
The goal is to help women who are talented but might not have the money to go to college.
This should give more women a chance to become leaders and make a difference in technical fields.
The school hopes that this will encourage other places to offer similar help to students, and it will promote gender equality in STEM.
