Senthil Balaji's Bail Cancelled, Arrest Likely in Corruption Case
Senthil Balaji is a member of the DMK political party in India.
He was accused of corruption, with an initial charge of 17 crore rupees.
The court said this might be just a small part of a bigger problem, maybe 100 crore rupees.
The court found evidence in 41 places linked to him.
Because of this, the court said he must be questioned in custody and may be arrested again.
His request for bail was turned down.
DMK MLA Senthil Balaji's anticipatory bail petition was denied.
DVAC argued the Rs. 17 crore charge is just the tip of the iceberg, with losses possibly around Rs. 100 crore.
Over 41 locations linked to Balaji yielded substantial evidence during raids.
Prosecution said custodial interrogation of Balaji is absolutely necessary.
Balaji may be arrested again pending court decision.
