Dry Days Announced in Major Indian Cities for Festival Season
Big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru have decided when you can't buy alcohol.
It was a dry day (no alcohol sales) on Independence Day and will be again on Janmashtami.
Also, during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, you won't be able to buy alcohol on certain days.
This means bars, shops, and restaurants can't sell alcohol on these days, but you're still allowed to drink if you have some at home.
Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru have declared dry days during the festival season.
Liquor sales were banned on Independence Day in these cities.
Janmashtami will also be a dry day.
Ganesh Chaturthi will have a dry day in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Additional restrictions may be enforced during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
