Kumar Vishwas, Former Delhi Ministers Face Fresh MCC Summons

A court in Sultanpur is hearing cases about alleged election-rule violations from 2014.

Kumar Vishwas, Somnath Bharti and Satyendar Jain were asked to attend but did not appear.

The court therefore issued them fresh summons.

The allegations involve people staying in Amethi after campaigning had ended.

Police also said Vishwas argued with an officer about the election rules.

Vishwas’ lawyer said he believed the Supreme Court had paused the case.

A separate case says Vishwas held an unauthorised procession with supporters.

The next hearings are scheduled for September 23.
