Kinnaur Kailash Yatra Begins with 90 Pilgrims
A big religious trip called the Kinnaur Kailash Yatra started on July 30.
Ninety people began walking from a village called Tangling.
In total, 375 people will go on the trip, which ends on August 10.
The walk goes through a path that goes past Maling, Khata, and Gufa.
The trip was supposed to start on July 1, but it was delayed because of dangerous landslides and because some local people were worried about the safety of the route.
People can sign up online or at the office, and some spots are reserved for tour operators.
The Yatra began on Thursday, 30 July, with 90 pilgrims starting from Tangling village.
A total of 375 devotees are expected to participate, concluding on 10 August.
The trek follows the Tangling‑Maling‑Khata‑Gufa route.
The start was delayed from 1 July because of landslide risks and opposition from local deity communities.
Registration opened online on 28 July; 175 slots online, 125 offline, 75 via tour operators.
