Canara Bank Reports 22% Rise in Q1 Net Profit
Canara Bank made more money in the first three months of the year!
Their profits went up by 22%, reaching a total of ₹4,752 crore.
This was helped by them selling some investments and earning more from interest and fees.
They also lent more money to people and businesses.
Even though they earned less from the interest they charged on loans, they made up for it in other ways.
Also, the bank's bad loans are decreasing, which is good for the bank.
Canara Bank's net profit rose 22% to ₹4,752 crore in Q1 FY26.
Interest income increased by 8% to ₹31,003 crore.
Treasury income surged 296% to ₹1,993 crore, due to investment sales.
Gross advances rose 12.4% year-on-year to ₹10.96 lakh crore.
Gross NPA ratio declined to 2.69%.
